Elk River Sportsman's club members?

Any members here? I was thinking about joining (trying) and wondering how people like it there. I've done rifle sight-in there and the members all seemed very helpful and nice..

I like it a lot. I just wish I could spend more time there. You may have to wait until next year to apply for a membership, and you'll need a sponsor.

Yeah it looked like the applications had to be in by the end of January so I may have to wait. I was planning to check out some of the shooting events and ask around my hood to try to find a sponsor. I can't seem to pull up any of the documents on that site so I'm not sure what the deal is.

Same here, I finally ended up finding a buddy who would sponsor me just a couple days ago. Same friend last yr sponsored someone else and thought he was gonna sponsor someone else again this yr, but he backed out and didnt tell me. Too late again, guess I'm gonna have to wait until next year again.

Yea but like you said they do have a few public events I may attend. Been throwin around the idea of building an AR for the F-class there.

Non members can shoot at almost all of the events. It costs a few bucks more for non members, but it would be a great way to meet someone that might sponsor you.

Pistol league on Monday
High power and F-class on the KD range Mondays and Tuesdays
Trap and Skeet on Thursdays.

Keep checking the calendar on the home page. Don't miss the first week of the event you want to shoot in.
