SA 1911 Parkerized Loaded at Rogers Cabelas
I picked up one of the two they had in stock today. None of them were out front & I found out they were in boxes in the back. I looked at both and took the one with the best trigger, so there's one left.
SA 1911 Parkerized Loaded
Model # PX9109LP. The Cabelas sku is 03245720. Price = $869 + tax. But I had several discounts that brought the price down. Very nice 1911 with SS barrel, ambi safety & night sights.
Pretty quiet this morning there before heading back to Duluth. Off to the range with it tomorrow.
BTW- Cabelas has PMC Bronze 45acp 230 gr FMJ 50 rds for $18.99. Pretty good price. Got some of that also.
Congrats! Nice looking pistola.
Thx. Took it to the Constance range across the river in south Superior & ran a 50 rd box of ammo through it. Ate it all without a problem & shot to point of aim at 15 yds just fine.
I'll be putting a Smith & Alexander integral mainspring housing/mag well on it plus an extended slide release. Other than that I'll leave it the way it is. The tritium sights are real nice.
Someone should grab that last one at the Rogers store. Remember to ask for it with the sku # since they don't have it out front.

Not any more.
I have a few thousand through mine. I have yet to have any issues with it. It's probably about time I start shopping for my next Springer. These are very nice!!
Glad you got it Moose. Hope you like it.

Yeah, thanks for the heads up! Funny thing though... The guy who helped me also brought out two. One was new as in the stickers/seals had yet to be cracked. The other was a new pistol, but an open box. And like you, I picked the best trigger of the pair. No matter.... It'll receive the same trigger job as my Kimber anyway.
I "may" have an issue with the slide where the barrel lugs lock in. It seems overly tight. This may loosen up after a few hundred rounds but I made Springfield Warranty aware of it anyway. Just a CYA ya know...
Interesting. They said they just had two & the guy brought only two out to me. Did you get the one that was already opened? The service guy had to cut the two I looked at open because of the seals.

Honestly, I'm not 100% certain which one came home with me. The one that stayed behind had a big green sticker on the handle of the case. So maybe I DID buy the "unopened" one...

Weird... Maybe they pulled it off before bringing it out... Unless I was at the wrong store...
Nope... Same store.

No matter... Thanks again for the heads up!! If the phone stay silent until 1000hrs., I feel some range time is in order.
Moose,
I just finshed a couple upgrades to mine. I installed a S&A "slimline" integrated MSH/mag well (blued), a Wilson extended mag release and a pair of Hogue single panel rubber grips.
The Slimline MSH/magwell went on perfect & easy . It fits great and is less deep & wide compared to a Wilson mag well and allows seating a mag with a standard bumper on it abit better. The Hogue grip need a little file work to improve on the space on the right panel allow the ambi safety to work without binding abit.
