I am currently planning my trip down to knob creek with a couple of friends for this October and had a couple of questions.

!. I have seen several videos detailing the helicopter rides, and some videos detailing the helicopter ride while shooting (I believe it was an m60). Does anyone have any knowledge if these are still offered? I have never been so first hand experience is greatly valued.

2. What are some of the prices on rentals?

Thanks

Helicopter rides yes
Shooting out of moving helicopter don't think so.
Machine gun rentals depends on the gun. I 50$ and up I beleive.

When I did it the helecopter ride was $100. Shooting from the helecopter was NOT an option. While on a dollars-per-minute basis the helecopter ride was significantly more expensive than visiting a brothel in Amsterdam and riding a hot eastern-european blonde named Anastasia, the helecopter ride was worth it. First, it was a cool experience. Second, the money goes to the non-profit that keeps the 2 vietnam-era Hueys flying for historical purposes.

I don't think they do it any more for environmental reasons, but if they have the flamethrower rental then do that too. Shooting the flamethrower was freakin' amazing. Bring someone with a nice camera (any SLR will do. point-and-shoots aren't fast enough) to record the event.

Also, while the cost of shooting a machinegun is high in absolute terms, when you consider how much ammo costs it's actually not as expensive as it appears.

Your milage may vary.

They did have a raffle one year for shooting the M60 out of a hovering Mini Bird helo. The winner couldnt hit the explosive target, so someone had to snipe it.
