How bad was the storm damage where you are? I'm kinda wondering since I have friends in Johnson and Floyd counties, and Lawrence county seems to have had a tornado or a line of severe storms cross over it..

If you have pics or an "after action" report related to today's storm damage in either of those three counties (listed above) , post it up..

Thank you!

I'll be there in the morning, the way I take it is Van lear and hager hill took the grunt of the storm, I work in Vanlear and my company has a shop there that im thinking about checking on tonight in case it got took out, theres alot of parts and stuff I want to get before the methheads do, But i reckon that it leveled hager hill and van lear, but thats word of mouth as of now, and there is a house blocking us23 right at paintsville in the middle of the road

Confirmed dead as of 930 from KSP:

Menifee-4
Laurel-3
Morgan-1
Western Ky-3
11 total

Reports of many more missing in Morgan and still have not gotten to most hard hit areas in Morgan, Magoffin and Menifee. Praying for them but looks like that number could grow substantially.

I'm from Johnson co and the wife is from Morgan co. We are heading there in the morn. Lots of pics starting to float out on the web from West Liberty, it looks real bad. We can't get in touch with her parents but they were up here today and she talked to them just before they lost cell going into WL but that was after the storm had hit.

My dad and uncles houses got damaged and uncles garage is leveled. They got hit after dark and have no power so they can't tell much about it but I was on the phone with dad and lightning struck and he said he could see a house across the creek that was leveled. Haven't been able to reach him since. Don't know if his cell is dead or just can't get through.

Bad times down in there for sure.

I too hope everything turns out alright for anybody and everybody affected by the storms / tornadoes that came thru KY..

Does anybody here have any information on Lawrence county?? I heard the Blaine area got slammed pretty hard and I would **imagine** that Louisa got hit pretty bad too..

Also - You guys in the affected areas watch out for flooding!! Looks like the lakes in the area are up...

Local Lake information...

KSP reporting

4 dead in Menifee
3 in Kenton
4 in Laurel
4 in Morgan

Some of hardest hit areas in Menifee and Morgan were still inaccessible @ 4am so number likely to grow.

Went down yesterday. West Liberty is VERY BAD. Salyersville is REALLY BAD and Hagger Hill in Johnson co is BAD.

I can't see how there won't be many casualties in WL short of a miracle, which is entirely possible.
