Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'd like clarification. If I were to buy a 1993 colt listed as banned by name on the CT assault weapons list can it be shipped to CT? Would the other 6 rules apply? Meaning could I have a bayonnet lug and collapsable stock?

nope banned by name is that....no matter what you cant have it
so sad that something so simple as a name (especially made in this state) can do so much damage

If it is banned by name then it is banned period (full-auto only doesn't count)

Yes, unless it is banned by type in the name section (AK47 in 7.62x39, MAC-10, Thompson, etc)

What if you have a non-married DIAS inside a banned semi auto / Full auto only host?

Did anyone ever make any progress with the literal and exact definition of the banned by name list?

I.e. Colt AR-15 = bad, Colt AR-15A2 = good

I know that a Springfield SAR-48 was banned by name, but a SAR-4800 is fine. Yup, you guessed it. The 00 was added at the importers along with ban features.

How would you get the banned semi into CT? The only ways that I can see that happening are 1) if you moved here with it or 2) had an out of state 07/02 do the full-auto conversion in which case it would be full-auto and not a banned semi.

There are FA FNCs around. FNC is banned by name. I might be mistaken but I think the FNC sear mods marry the gun to the transferable receiver.

I think it applies more to something like Hk hosts. An HK94 isn't a MG if the sear isnt in it. An HK 94 is banned by name. The whole point of HK sears is to have one pack that works on your 9mm, .223, and .308 HK's. I think in this case, the local HK guys are having parts kits built up to be stamped HK MPFuckJepson for a host.

Damn I wish I had the money to play with HK auto shit.

Cure for AIDS is easier to obtain than clarification on this question.

As long as it isn't a banned (Colt AR-15/Sporter) lower, then yes.
