 Shooting Range In Maine

I recently moved back to maine and am looking for a shooting range in southern maine. Preferably something within 45min of Brunswick. I would like to find a place without overly oppressive rules such as requiring you to attend meetings (I don't have time for that due to work), have a sponsor (just moved back and don't really know anyone who shoots around here yet), or have rules against rapid shooting or other perfectly safe shooting practices.

Basically I would like a place that I can pay a yearly fee so I can go shooting in a safe manner with a friend or two whenever I want during the day. No other strings attached. So far, I have been unable to locate such a place. Every range I have found listed on the internet requires you to attend regular meetings and have a sponsor.

A gravel pit or something would be great too. If anyone has contact info for someone with a sandpit who is open to people shooting at it, PM me.

I enjoyed being a member of Capitol City Range while I lived in Augusta. You just have to mail in an application and meet with one of the range officers for an orientation. The price isn't bad either, $20 first time membership fee and $50 for the entire year. I would imagine there is probably something closer to Brunswick though.

You could also try the Boothbay region fish and game. You will have to attend your fist meeting to submit your aplication. Yearly dues are reasonable. 100 yard range and pistol range along with stocked fishing pond and archery range.

Club is situated close to the Portland airport. Nice ranges, about all shooting venues are active. Sam
