Land in new Hampshire
I will soon be looking to purchase some land in New Hampshire . I want to build a log cabin on it and use it as a vacation spot and hunting spot . I have found land from 20 k to 50 k in all different parts of New Hampshire . What are the best parts of new Hampshire for hunting but still easily accessible year round ? Anyone from new Hampshire i welcome your opinions .

And whats your definition of "accessible" ?
if you are talking about deer you can get them pretty much anywhere in NH
My plans are to find at least 10 acres when i get out of boot camp and sit on it while i serve then when i get out build a house . Accessible to me is being able to get to it year round , electricity . I like those log cabin kit houses they look pretty cool . As for the hunting ive never hunted before i would assume deer would be my favorite i want to start next season .
Carroll and Coos counties have some decent land available. NH-16 and US-2 & 3 are the major thoroughfares up there, though.
10 acres is good size. It is also the minimum size piece of land that can be placed in current use status. If you will be sitting on the land for quite some time, this will save you a decent amount of property tax dollars.
I want to make sure i have enough room to play with guns also . How is the law enforcement on shooting on your property in NH
As long as you have a good backstop you are good to go!
Thats what i like to hear . How can you build a solid backstop ? Just compressed dirt ?
As long as there is no worry about bulletsd straying on to anothers property you are good to go. You can shoot on your own property out your dining room slider in cold weather as long as you have a good backstop or a good neighbor or both.
NH and Vt are fun!
