Patience. It is a process. There are three bills and possibilities very much alive.
It will come down to this:
- Do you want open carry as a part of concealed carry?
If yes, then we may get that but that will probably be the end of the matter with little chance for Constitutional Carry.
If no, then we will not likely get either this year but might have a chance at something later.

Good morning Steve. I am glad to here you use the word Constitutional carry ! I allready have Constitutional carry. Its only the sheeple that don't .

This is the sort of thing that's worth taking time and getting right. I have my CCL so I could OC with either version, but I think it's more important to uphold the Constitution and get Open Carry as a right and not a privilege attached to a license.
If we accept the licensed version we will lose all momentum for Constitutional Carry. Sometimes I'm amazed at how few real conservatives we have looking out for our rights in a state as "red" as ours. We're lucky to have Sen. Russel coming to us for our opinions and educating us on the internal politics for our state gov. but his dedication should not be as incredible as it is, we should expect this of all of our representatives.

Some us remember a time that you could not carry a gun here Oklahoma ,them CCW came about now working on Open Carry if with a permit and in time No permit , we have come a long way .

So help me out here. I read the sticky...but I'm a noob to Oklahoma.
No open carry, even in the car?
Will Oklahoma honor my Utah non resident permit? I'm a Colorado resident.
I'm reporting for 60 days TDY Monday morning in Tulsa.

I believe that if you're in a vehicle, any carry is considered concealed.

Oklahoma does recognize your non resident Utah permit, so you are good to carry concealed or in a car.

Per Oklahoma Title 21 § 1290.26, the State of Oklahoma "recognizes any valid concealed carry weapons permit or license issued by another state. The license must be issued by the state and must be carried fully concealed from detection and view..." (SDA Law Book, Nov. 2007).

I have been trying to follow this but the process is more confusing than the FAA regs which is impressive, so i'm lost.

They make the process confusing so both the legislators and those who are pushing an issue get lost to where their bill is at.
That way they can do what they want in an underhanded way and not take direct blame for scuttling a bill.
