I'd like to start shooting some pistol matches, but Sundays are a no-go for me for religious reasons. Does anyone know of any pistol matches/leagues on weekdays or Saturdays?

American Shooters has indoor matches on weeknights, I think on Tuesdays. Give them a call to check the schedule.

Terrific, we look forward to having you shoot with us. If you come by for the IDPA match, 2nd Tuesday in Feb, bring a flashlight because we almost always have one or two low light stages.

Utah match

They hold matches on Saturdays, I know its not in Vegas and its a bit of a drive but if you want to shoot a pistol match outside on a non Sunday your options are limited. Boulder city range has a 3gun match on 2nd Saturday as well but obviously that isn't just pistol.

Got this in an email from the Sin City match director.

Clark County Practical will be a new club ran at the new Clark county range in north town. we are starting with an open squadded 4 stage steel challenge match starting at 2:00 and last shot fired at 10:00. the range is very well lit and this match will be on Mondays starting in march. in due time we will have multigun and pistol events there also as the facility grows and improves.

Silver State Practical will be the new club at the Boulder City rifle and pistol club. we are also starting with a 4 stage steel challenge match starting at 2:00- 10:00. the lighting there is not as bright and we will have tower lights installed as soon as possible, hopefully in time for the summer months. shortly we will also start USPSA pistol matches also during the week, and in the same 4 stage open squadded format. stay tuned for details

(Open squadding means you can show up anytime and join in)

Just got back from the steel match at BRPC put on by Venture Crew 45 and I have to say I am impressed! It was very well run and well staffed by a bunch of very friendly and helpful Crew 45 people. It was the first steel match for the wife and I and we are both hooked. Been shooting USPSA pistol and multigun andI have to say the all steel stuff is a nice change-up. Can't say enough about the great attitudes from the staff. They were really into getting youngsters and new shooters involved in the sport and making you feel welcome.

All in all a great time and I highly recommend you give it a try

I was hoping to shoot it as well, however, I was attending the shotgun instructor course. May 26th is the next one, and on September 22 they will be doing a full 8 stage Steel Challenge course. Mark your calendars!
