Watch. The pawn shop will fire the employee for defending himself.

I drove by as the PD was wheeling into the lot and again 5 minutes later. Metro had what appeared to be a teen age black kid in a white hoodie bent over the car cuffing him up. Maybe he was an accomplice or just a bystander that got hooked in the fray. Score a big plus for armed citizens protecting themselves.

"Better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6."

Fuck the job - he will be able to get a new job somewhere else.

Interesting...do a search for his name in quotes "Jhalon Glass" , on Google and see what comes up...

After the stuff about the shooting, first you see he's got a profile on berecruited.com Guess he thought he was b-ball star. LOL

Then his arrested record from CCDC - Arrested July 02, 2011 and charged with burglary and grand larceny. Arrest record from NLVPD - Arrested Nov 20, 2011 and charged with Pcs With Intent To Sell - Mj and Possession Of Stolen Property - Value Over $3500 Or Weapon

Then something about his graduating middle school, but not HS. Hmmm.

A real pillar of the community!

Anyway, we should all band together and fight for the employee not to lose his job over protecting himself. Let's make it more acceptable to defend yourself and NOT have
repercussions from it.

I'm going to send an e-mail to corporate and tell them if they fire the employee, I will never do business with Super Pawn again. The e-mail address is: customerfeedback@cashamerica.com

Their main website also goes to this Facebook page, which I think I'll make a statement on as well:

I'm sure there are plenty of freedom minded places that would hire him out of principle.

I get a little tired of the media's handling of this type of incident. The Las Vegas Sun reported that:

"Shooting victim identified as 18-year-old" without a pic, and reporting that:

"Glass died after exchanging gunfire with an employee at the Cash America SuperPawn store in the 7000 block of North Durango Drive about 9:30 a.m., Metro Police reported.

Police said Glass, who was armed with a gun, may have attempted to rob the store."

The paper also said the police refused to release details about his prior arrests, however information of other arrests were reported by other media, and seemed to be easily obtained on line.

Since when is an armed robber killed in a shootout a VICTIM?

I realize this yute was probably in a program, and about to turn his life around, but if the police shoot someone here I've never heard them described as a victim.

What we should do is start an official sticky at the top of the NVHTF page that lists these positive incidents.

Keep it clean with only the facts at hand.

It would do many well to read a list of names of dead mother fuckers who tried to get over and got their card pulled instead.

The lists could be printed and hung up in all sorts of places, such as behind the register at Lock n Load, NFA, etc.

Since the reporting media in the Sun, which is a known leftist paper that has such a history of high quality of reporting that they gained so much readership they were able to succeed on their own merits? Oh wait, nevermind, I had it a little off: They lost so much that had to consolidate and have the RJ publish their trash. Not to say the RJ is a stellar paper either, but I digress.

As for the concerns about the SuperPawn employee loosing his job: It's SuperPawn for cryin' out loud––it's not like he couldn't take a similar position elsewhere.
