Westbound I-80 offramp closed after road rage shooting

Law enforcement officials are responding to a reported road rage shooting that took place on the Vista Boulevard offramp of Interstate 80 westbound.

Behaving like children.... Why would anybody get into a road rage incident voluntarily in the first place? Were they both retarded? One would assume you'd do whatever possible to avoid any confrontation. Period. Push comes to shove if someone is following you drive to the nearest police station and call them enroute. Then let the popo deal with it.

There seems to be a lot of info missing here.... I am going to take a stab here and defend this guy
1) The lead car may have been going 40 because he was exiting and he wanted to take his time (you people know who you are), so he may have been getting tailgated because the shooter was getting pissed ( I have be known to get anxious and get too close to these people, the speed limit is not just for speeding people)
2) They could have been getting off at the same exit, doesn't mean this guy was following him to continue to be a jerk (again has happened to me and you are just swearing to yourself of course this a**** is turning right to)
3) This guy could have given multiple verbal warning to the guy to get back I have a gun and the victim decided he was going to beat him with it because he was bullet proof
and the shooter was of much smaller stature ... it did not look like a little frail guy on the gurney!
ALL THAT SAID, I do feel bad for the victim and the shooter. The guy may or may not have been able to drive away from the situation but it sounds to me like the shooter was being attacked and defended himself (more than likely wishing he would have driven away). He didn't empty the clip, and he stuck around so he doesn't sound like a sleaze bag....

My info is that the shooting was justified and the shooter was released after interview.

Several years back I have a run in with the guy who got shot and with out going into details I pulled my gun on him and almost shot him and his kid.
He was the most agressive hostile individual I've ever encountered. Today I talked to a detective about my incident with him.
