Fletcher Arms range (Waukesha)
Was going to stop by there sometime to shoot at their range. Never been there before. I usually shoot at Shooter's sHop. How's the range quality compared to what you've seen around?
It is on par with local ranges. The lighting is kinda dim but that is my only complaint, I double plug as a rule there. It is packed pretty much every time I go.

Do you go during the week, or on weekends usually, when it's packed?
Being so close, it's the only indoor range that I go to. I really have no complaints. I haven't been there for several months, and there used to sometimes be a wait on Sat. or Sun. afternoons, but I've heard that it has been very busy since concealed carry became law. The only thing to be aware of is when shooting during hot & humid weather. They either don't have air conditioning in the range, or it wasn't working that day, because last summer I went there once and came out hot & soaking wet as though I just came out of a pool. Has anyone else had that experience during the summer there?

It is my favorite shop, but not range. I live much closer to shooters racine. I was last in there in January when buying a gun and they had a wait on a Saturday afternoon, and then when I went to pick it up on the following Thursday they were also full up. I went once after going to Waukesha gun show on a Saturday and the were packed too. Someone who is a regular there is going to have a better read on it that me.
Ventilation is not as good as other ranges I've been to....

Agreed. They used to have a waterfall-like setup on their back wall, that kept the dust and such down considerably. I asked them about it last time I was there, and from my understanding the trough that carries the water has rusted/deteriorated, and they have not found a cost effective way to repair it yet. However, I think it's been at least a year since I've seen that system running.
I like my ranges to be clean and ventilated and well lit. I hear there might be a new state of the art range being built in SE WI, but that's probably a ways out yet though.
I'll go check 'er out though.

I wonder if that may be the reason that it was hot & humid last summer when I was there. Poor ventilation coupled with evaporation from the waterfall backstop could have done it. I believe the waterfall setup was working when I was last there but that may have been around last September. Last Sep. or Oct. the Plan Commission gave Fletchers approval to add an additional 5 lanes. I don't know when they are going to do it, but I assume that they will probably upgrade the rest of the range too.

It sure would be nice. If I remember right, they were adding classroom space, but I don't think they were adding any extra floor space at this time (could have changed). It was shoulder to shoulder last time I was there with my brother.

FWIW, here is a small article mentioning it. They use the term "shooting booths".

i was there today its the only shop i deal with locally and the only range i shoot at.. simply put the other places are full of assholes, Fletcher employees and owners have been nothing but nice to me, go out of their way to be helpfull, and have great range prices..
my only complaint is i wish the lane dividers went higher .. my wife wouldnt shoot for the first 30 minutes we were there today nearly because the guy in the lane to our left was poppin .45 casings over at our heads like there was no tomorrow.. FREAKIN annoying ..

I was there Friday morn. First ones onto the range. Wife enjoyed the range as did I. We both said we'd go back. That's funny, my wife started getting pelted with brass at the end. We were about to leave so she didn't say nothing. Had a blast though.
Nice folks as Fletcher's, they were very helpful. Hope they add more lanes soon.
maybe we could have a small meet up there one day? im pretty sure if we could garantee "X" amount of lanes at a certain time he would hold em..
and they just added more lanes, just waiting to finish them from what i understand ...
