I live near the great city of Madison and found an good price for ammo. I have never used armslist but craigslist three times in the area and was happy with the results.

How is the experience with our fellow residents on armslist?? The Link I personally like shooting lawman and its usually $20 a pop at gander so this would be a good deal for me.

Go to SGAMMO.com you can get it for $10.95 a box of 50. I order ammo from here all the time. Very fast shipping.

I think armslist is a joke personally.. I was going to post a rant on here asking the same question but decided not to, so thank you for posting. First, seeing people asking for what i can get new at lets say a big box store for a USED item, unwilling to budge on the price. Then people claiming these guns are NIB never shot, and upon close inspection of the pictures you can tell that it isn't the case and again unwilling to negotiate. Someone made a post looking for a used range officer, shot him an email with a more than fair price with 6 Chip Mc mags in the packaging (bought in bulk a couple years ago) and dude said 300 rounds down the pipe was way to used and if he'd be interested it'd have to be at 275 I dunno, overall its something to browse when im bored surfin the net.. It's like going to a Wisconsin gun show while sitting on my couch laughing at the prices.

^^ thanks for the link. great price!!

^ i did notice the prices of pretty much every thing else is above local retail prices. for some reason I would of thought my fellow Wisconsinites would of be better with FTF dealings.

Thanks for the input, gladly appreciated. Ill probably get one box cause I want to shoot Sunday or Tuesday.

I've done a few deals on ARMSLIST. Like everywhere else, including the EE here, there will allways be people trying to get MSRP or better for their used stuff... You just have to be patient and wait for the deals to pop up.

Another +1 for SGAmmo - my first stop always for any ammo needs.

Armslist is similar to Craig's list. Usually u get a handful of emails saying they want it or I'll pic it up this weekend and no one shows. I've used it 2 times and after sifting through the bad emails there is usually someone that is legit. Last sale I did the guy was great offered a price cash in hand and picked up the same night.
As far as buying goes i agree with the other guy about overpriced used guns.

Bought two items off Armslist and was satisfied. Like other venues some items are overpriced and some are not. One of the advantages is the no papertrail sale.

Some good deals to be found just like anywhere else... some of the stuff is just like at a gun show, keeps getting relisted over and over, some people just don't get it when it comes to lowerind their prices.

i do well buying and selling on there .. but i agree some things are a joke .. i emailed a seller today that was asking $500 for a used .380 bodyguard .. just simply trying to help him out linking him to them being new at Gander for $379 and cheaper other places ..

remember, some people overpay (shooters shop cough cough) and dont know any better ..

some people are crazy

and some people give a decent deal ... its all what you make of it ...

i wish we could have a WI buy/sell/trade type thing on here .. id MUCH rather buy off you guys (case in point right now im looking for an affordable AK or a 1911 starter but cant find anything local)

I've posted a couple guns on there and everytime I get a couple guys low ball me. The last one I was asking $700 for a NIB Browning BLR and I got a couple Emails offering me $300-$450.

We do have this. Go to the top of the WI HTF page and click on "Wisconsin E/E". Shows all listings in the EE from WI posters.

Sometimes when you tell sellers that they are asking too much they get defensive.
Someone selling a USP on there right now for 600;

Don't tell him you can get them at CDNN for 450.

Only if they have their state listed correct? Plenty of people only have "USA" listed...

I've bought/sold/traded a few firearms on Armslist (even meet a ARFCOM member or two). For the most part all my experiences were great although I did have one guy set up a meeting to trade guns and then proceeded to almost accuse me of trying offload a junk Tantal on him via email 30 minutes before the scheduled meet time. Ended up selling it outright to a different person off Armslist who seemed pretty happy with what he got.

I don't think that was me. I posted it around the end of March and I only had two mags to go with the rifle.

good info. I was going to maybe try that site to sell my 16 ga. LC Smith DB shotgun, but don't need to sift through scammers. I'll have to try another way

I've only used it once, but worked out great. Got what I was looking for at a price lower than box store, good to go.

I think that's correct. They should put WI in their profile if they want to do FTF sales, I guess.

That was mine. (8 mags, tin of ammo, etc) I almost pulled it as some douche named Scott kept trying to get it for half the price and would NOT stop emailing me. I was willing to move on the price a bit, but not half. I found a buyer and everyone is happy.

There are some good deals on Armslist, some not so good ones just like everyplace else. That being said, I doubt I will sell on there again as the emails from the assclowns get to be bothersome.

Peace,

Dean

I've only sold a couple on there. I've contacted a few people and either never get an answer or they want to sell their "only 500 rounds through it" gun for higher than Bud's prices.

Armslist seems to be a haven for cheats.

I almost bought a gun there before realizing the guy was using a modified version of someone else's FFL.

I reported that to the ATF.

Armslist is a mixed bag of nuts. There are decent deals to be had, but then there are others trying to sell used Gen 2 Glock 22's with 2 mags for $600.

Yeah, a majority of the prices are ridiculous. I've sold two guns through there though, an M&P 40c and CZ P01 (never should have sold that!), and both transactions went well.

I sold my Kahr P9 DLC on there for a decent price. But if you're getting 550 for a glock, I should have asked for 750.

Just used it for the first time yesterday. It was nice to have an arfcomer email me first, asking about my sell. I'd always feel more comfortable with people from local forums than some stranger. I had a good experience on there though, and good communication goes a long way.

Yeah, I couldn't believe how many requests came in. Sorry I couldn't hold out any longer, my wife was bugging me too much to go pick up her M&P Shield that came in, tomorrow. I'm going to be jealous :(

no worries my friend ... glad you had a smooth sale and it all worked out .. the shield will serve her well! but you will steal it and buy another i predict LOL

armslist is great if you price things right.. its like anything you have to expect people to try to talk you down some, but sometimes you get nice honest communication (like we had), and it either works out or it doesnt .. but atleast there is no BS ...

i bought a P238 and a SA Champion SS Loaded last week on there .. (hence me bein broke right now)

maybe we should start listing ourselves as arfcommers or opencarry.org'ers when listing things.. that might help!
