Drank my last New Belgium Brewery beer for a while

Be interesting to see if I get a reply

Sorry to say I just had my last New Belgium beer for a while. I really enjoy your Fat Tire , 1554 and Snow Day. I don’t drink a lot of beer so when I do it tends to be good beer like New Belgium. Sadly with the gun laws just passed in Colorado I find myself forced to cut as many ties with Colorado as I can and that includes New Belgium Beer.

No need to alarm the shareholders over the loss, you likely spill more beer in a day than I drink in a year. Fear not there are some really great beers from Capital Brewery in WI, Schlafly brewery in MO and even Goose Island in the Peroples Demokratic Republic of Illinois.

Maybe one day Colorado will come to it's senses and repeal the new insane firearms laws and I can enjoy a Fat Tire after a long run again.

Won't matter, the company is run by a bunch of leftist radicals.

Thanks for writing, but I'm not sure a brewery in Illinois helps illustrate your cause - even if you are behind (worse) lines in IL..

True enough but for the moment IL actually has 'better' gun laws than somebody

If only the cheedar heads at the New Glarus Brewing company would export beer to their thirsty cousins to the south ...

Correct me if I am wrong, but if I recall right, you aren't even allowed to hunt deer with a rifle. It has to be a shotgun with slugs. We can still use rifles here, and IL has better gun laws?

It'd be nice for all the people in states downstream from us to boycott the water that originates from CO. You can have our water treatment plant leftovers. That shit still flows downhill.

I hear more and more about this "boycott Colorado stuff", do these people ever think they may be hurting us pro 2A Colorado folk? I read an article about hunters refusing to hunt here, what about the local revenue you may be taking from a pro 2A business you now did not spend money in?

What if the ONE guy at New Belgium that was chipping away at his co-workers and getting them on board now is laid off because the whole world decides to say screw Colorado beer? Dont get me wrong I appreciate the gestures but I would rather you write a letter to our .gov

As yes...because all the letters we wrote before did a whole lot of good. The fact of the matter is the dems in control don't care about what the people want or the letters we write. They have an agenda and for the first time in awhile they have the seats to get it accomplished.

The requirment to use shotguns (or handguns, or rifles chambered in a handgun round) to hunt deer with in eastern states is one of population density rather than "we do not like civy to have rifles".

This.

There have been states with ultra-strict gun control laws (IL, CA, DC...etc) FOREVER, but have you ever seen Colorado, or any other state in the union "banning" their products? Have mercy, we're already losing Magpul, keep your Fat Tire stocked, you'll be glad when CO bans beer and Fat Tire bottles start going for $100 a pop

Sorry, my love for the local brews here is just too strong.

Letters just get ignored/shredded. Public hearings have fallen on deaf ears. Right now, the only way to punish the elected officials of CO is to take away jobs and tax money.

States such as CO aren't officially a lost cause yet. If we do our part with a boycott and companies abandon the state taking jobs with them, we have to still make sure we are letting the leaders and people of CO know why we are doing it. Hopefully, the people of the state who are sitting on the fence will realize the stupidity of their elected "leaders" and vote them out finally.

Kind of like reloading, homebrewing gets cheaper with every batch and quality increases well beyond what the manufactures throw onto the market. $18.00 for a 12 pack of manufactured beer verses $6.50 for a 12 pack (current batch) of awesome homebrew. Yup, stupid easy.

Oh they realize it and they're fighting back. Another recall against sen. John Morse just went live today, and one against sen Hudak will in a few weeks. Rep mclachlans has been live for 3 weeks already.

Explain "another recall" against Morse? Are there more than one? I don't understand.

Meh, I've done homebrewing with friends. It's fun and all, but not about saving money for me. I just like enjoying a crafted brew that someone put their time and effort into. I just have too many damn hobbies to add homebrewing to the mix anyways.

You left out CCW laws too.

wtrloo spewed a whole lot of ignorant derp in his post.

Nice attempt at trolling. You fail, at both trolling and intelligence.
