yeah, the reporter from KIRO told me that.

I'm still pretty pissed about the whole ordeal.
The first two bangs happened as we took off.
They shook the whole plane, a few minutes later the pilot announced there had been an engine problem
and we were proceeding to Paine Field to have the plane checked out.
During the the final, we heard the bangs 3 more times, this is where I became apprehensive.
We landed at Paine Field around 2pm and were told to stay on the plane.
Allegiant also said we would recieve $75.00 vouchers for future travel.
Around 3:30 we were told they would have pizza for us in the hanger and buses would take us back to Beliingham for a charter flight to San Diego.
We had our pizza and left Paine around 4:30 getting to Bellingham around 6:10 and finding no plane waiting.
Instead we got Quizno's and were told that Allegiant decided that there 8:15 from Oakland would be held over to take us to San Diego.
Well we boarded on time but were delayed 45min or so due to ice on the wing.
We finally arrived in San Diego around 12am.

Here's where i got pissed.

At NO TIME did Allegiant ever have reps assist us to rebook missed flights or find accomodations in San Diego.

I asked 3 different Allegiant employees for help, thay all directed me to the customer serving 800 number.
One told me there would be reps in San Diego, but there weren't any.

it sucks that I have to use them to get back to bellingham next week.

Hope you make it home safe. Did a google search for Allegiant Air emergency landing after I saw this post. Seems they have had a lot of issues.

I used to fly often for work, after a couple mechanical and weather incidents, I have zero interest in boarding a plane again.

I could see that MD80 from where I work, it was left in the same spot from where you took that pic. They finally towed it in sometime yesterday afternoon.

ETA: ATS is probably working on it now. I wonder if alliant does their own maint or if they farm that out?

Not looking a gift horse in the mouth.

I, for one, would be glad I made it back to Terra Ferma. You were in the air!

Yeah I have no experience with allegiant but I was on a southwestern mil charter flight that blew an engine (fireball stylely) on the way out to ntc. Shame I used to like flying before that. I will say that I have my favorite carriers and if I cant find any alternative to flying I will pay more for a good track record. Glad your ok.
