laws on selling firearms
I live in Delaware but have a friend in PA that would like to buy some of my firearms. What needs to be done on my end to sell them to him? Specificly an AR15 and an AK47. Both semi auto.
easiest way. ship them to an ffl of his choosing. the ffl will tranfer them to him. as far as i know to do a FTF tranfer you both have to be PA residents.
since they are long guns you can ship however you want, whatever is cheapest, i would think FedEx.
and i have had ffl's charge for just one tranfer since doing both at the same time. if he calls a couple diff ffl's they should do that.
What if I met him with them at one? Say Targetmaster since it's just over the PA border and relatively close. Would they do the transfer there?
Or do I HAVE to ship them?
You could legally conduct this transfer in person at any firearms dealer in either state. The dealer has to be willing to conduct the transfer, and of course charges a fee for his services.
