Took minivan in for service at ReedmanToll and they needed parts so they got me a free rental from Enterprise. I should have taken a flash light and knee pads to inspect the rental. Did a walk around and found nothing to complain about and the young woman spotted some scratches on rear bumper which she noted on the agreement. Returned the rental on Monday, Saturday afternoon till Monday about 11:00am. Different young woman is squated down saying that I stratched and dented the passenger door. I tried to get through to her that the car sat in an off street lot behing my unit so it must have been there when I picked it up. Bitch had the balls to say: "Have a nice day!". Smart ass. Moral of the story is; If you need to rent a car from Enterprise bring a mechanic, flash light and a friend to verify the condition of car! Scratch was as thin as a pencil line and dissapeared when I ran my wet hankie over it but the "Princess" said that she couldn't rent the car in that condition.

I used to work for Enterprise in Philly, Not all rental reps take the time to do an accurate walk around, everytime! If you truly think that it was existing damage, you can dispute it. If they pull all of the past rental contracts, the damage may be listed on one of them!

Thanks. I have to wait for State Farm to get back to me because the "Princess" asked for my insurer. I was told that the claim would go through the corporate office and not my local rep. I will have to wait and see. Yes, it should be listed if it was there before I got it as a rental. Never had a problem with Budget, Avis and a local "knock-off".

I avoid Enterprise like the plague. I'll be using Alamo in a week, and I'm curious to see how that goes.

....In case you didn't know, Alamo is now owned by Enterprise Holdings! They, along with National were purchased a few years ago.

How does the dispute process work. I already contacted my credit card company and explained that I am disputing the charge by Enterprise because I did not get an "appraisers" report of the damage. Best thing that I could think of until I can contact Enterprise I am guessing. I asked my local State Farm rep and he said that Entrprise would report it straight to State Farms corporate office. Just sit and wait???

As Doba said above, you need to get the past rental contracts of the car and maybe the damage was on there already.

The corporate office is on Cabot Blvd in Langhorne. You could call and talk to them about it.

Just spoke to a woman from Enterprise Damage unit and she claims that they "pulled" all prior rentals and the damage was not noted. Apparently when you sign for the vehicle there is a clause on the back of the rental form which allows them to charge your credit card for the amount of your deductable. Live and learn the hard way. Enterprise and the young women at Langhorne office should rot in Hell!
