What do I need to know about him????

I'm a member of the TEA Party here in upstate NY,

How does his politics mesh with the ideals of the TEA Party?

PS I've been to his website, watched some of the debates, but I want to know how the people who h represents feel about him.

He's got extremely solid conservative credentials.

The left would call him a member of the "religious right" and such.

I agree that it was a cheap shot and classless; and I apologize if it offends anyone, but do a little research on this guy. He has said some baffling things regarding everything from child molestation, polygamy, to slavery. It's honestly very difficult to have any respect for the guy.

A man's religious views have a huge impact on what kind of president they would make, in my opinion.

His actual record in congress is far more important than his personal views. The communists simply didn't want a conservative republican senator, so his religion was attacked.

While in office he was the go to guy for every lobbiest who wanted to buy influence. He ran "K" street for the Republican party in D. C. He also took PA state money to home school his kids while he had them enrolled in a local school near Washinton D. C. Very typical politicain.
