I care less about his sexual orientation than I do about how he landscapes his yard but as suggested above I do also care about anyone on the left or the right abusing their position so I hope that part is just bunk. It probably is bunk because when someone on the right is accused of something they run the story without any attempt to assess the credibility of the allegation. "Catching" someone on the right being gay and the lefty media gets really excited because they assume we will all head to their house with torches and pitchforks.

Well I guess he officially came out, had a press conference today. I find it interesting how the Democrats will handle this, on one side you have an illegal Immigrant and someone gay on the other, that is their base right there.

I feel the same way. Babeu's sexual orientation isn't a big deal if he performs his duties of office professionally. If Babeu actually threatened his boyfriend with deportation, that would appear to be abuse under the color of authority. Posting nude photos of himself on a gay (or any other) site is industrial strength stupidity.
Having a long-term boyfriend who is illegal undercuts any public statements Babeu has made about getting tough on illegal immigration. If the boyfriend did work on Babeu's web site, then Babeu actively hired an illegal laborer.
Personally, I don't care for Babeu. He always struck me as a politician first; a lawman second. I didn't mind that too much as long as he performed his duties well and ran his department efficiently. The final nail in Babeu's coffin for me was when he appeared in that "complete the danged fence" TV ad with McCain.

I agree. While I don't like the homosexual agenda (trying to push the lifestyle into the mainstream like most liberals do) I really don't care what Babeu does in his
private life. Only thing I care about is his conservative politics and his superlative job performance thus far in both the miltiary and law enforcement.

He retired from the AZARNG not too long ago. He was basically told to retire after he was seen doing political activities in uniform which is not allowed.

Some good things from all of this, it is going to be really difficult for liberals to continue to say he is a Neo-Nazi white supremacist when he is openly gay and has been involved with a hispanic man.
What 2 consenting adults decide to do in their bedroom, I could care less.
He has done a good job, done what he has said and continues to work to increase the safety of those of us who live in Pinal County. I think he is leaps and bounds above Dupnik and Arpaio. I have had the chance to meet and talk with him briefly, he is an intelligent, articulate and logical guy.
I hope that this just moves on, and he can continue doing good work. I like that he has taken the stance of "Yes I am gay, No I did not threaten this man with deportation, No I will not talk about my personal life."
Until they can give me something to the contrary, it is good enough for me.

I can only speak for myself, I'm conservative and I'm not part of that 90%. I don't even have a facebook account, nor do I post pictures of myself or my family on the net. Been married 30 years and have several children.
If all this proves to be true then he is an idiot! What goes onto the net, stays on the net forever. You would think as a person that is out there in the public eye and actively seeking higher office. He would be more cautious of what his proclivities are. Now, I have standards as to what I would expect to be appropriate behavior, but I have higher standards of what I expect LE and elected officials to abide by.
