chardon school shooting

happened at 730am they think there was two shooters they have have of them looking for the other, news is saying 5 shots fired 4 stundents were hit new is still coming out.

This is very sad... hits too close to home.

I moved to AZ from Mentor about 3 years ago but still feels too close.. I can see this happening at an inner city school but a suburb ? What the heck!

1 shooter, 1 accomplice. Both in custody. Shooter was possibly sophomore. 4 victims with unknown status so far.

Reported 3 victims critical at metro health. 4th at hillcrest hosp unknown status.

Chardon is about 15 minutes from my hometown...never expected something like this to happen in Geauga.

I hear one kid has died... Man I have to ask WTF did a kid have access to handgun for? My 13 year old is very proficient in the use of handguns but I NEVER would allow him any access to them unless I was right there... Hell that goes for any firearm.. It is F_ing sad, I really hope not, but If the parents are at fault... then burn them at the stake.

Wow, i saw this this morning and then my mom called and said that's where my cousin goes to high school! He is alright but it's just crazy didn't even know he went there.

One dead teen. 3 others not in good shape. The one teen that was least injured is a friend of a friends son. He wants to speak and tell his story on the 6 pm news (ch.19). But his parents are being asked to stay quite at this time (3pm). Local,State,Federal LEO are still thinking there might be someone else involved at this point ( non- shooter).

Very sad news, being class of 198_ something. Yes I'm getting old. Back then the only gun fire was in the student parking lot at the rats by the old garbage dump. But back then it was not uncommon to ditch class to go hunting after lunch with 3 or 4 friends. It was funny as hell when we would take a few shoots at rats. Then wait around till the Chardon PD would show up, and scare the hell out of the stoners smoking and tripping in there cars. Fun days was when we dropped a 1/2 doz empty 22 rounds outside the head weed dealers ride. No we where not good kids. But it was funny as hell watching that K-9 going threw his car.

I just found out one of the injured is the son of one of my friends coworkers/friend. The friend and my friend just spent the weekend in WV. Apparently he's in stable condition undergoing surgery at Hillcrest Hospital. I don't know the age of the kid that was shot.

Update, my friends buddy's kid is 17 and was apparently shot 5 times. Don't know caliber or range from the shooter. The text I just got says he's expected to recover though, also shot near the spine.

I'd say that's good news, Because he's at Hillcrest. If it was Metro then id say he was close to death. Metro being the level 1 trauma, Hillcrest being level 2.



I don't know what drove this teen to this point. But I'm sure we will here from all the talking heads in the days to come of "WHY"

From what I heard this morning, one of the students recognized the handgun as some kind of 22 caliber.

Not sure who, But reports are now that a second teen has passed from this. Just spoke with a teacher friend that was in class on the other side of the school. It's a story.

i herad a 2nd kid died but they are releasing the name yet. truely sad but how and where did this kid get his gun from ?

I say try the little punk as an adult and give him the needle.

Being 17 he most likely will be tried as a adult. Two cases of Capital murder and three case's of attempted. Plus anything else they can pin to him.

Third victim passed away this afternoon.

I've read several places that Westboro Baptist Church plans on protesting at these funerals. Sickens me!

I saw a post about this on the Ohio Patriot Guard's facebook page. Why in the fuck would these retards protest the funeral of an innocent child who was murdered? It's bad enough when they crawl out from under a rock at fallen military, but kids? I hope they have a shred more class than to show up to these funerals.

Someday and I'm sure that's what there waiting for. Someone is going to beat the shit out of any and all members of the Westboro church assholes. Yes they say the First Am. gives them the right to do it. But someday there going feel the pain of someone that is not in the mood for there SHIT. And I'm hopping that it doesn't get them killed.
