I’m not sure if its turning to fast I have an 1 1/2 on motor and 3 in on the shaft, should I have used an 4in instead. I guess I need to start de-priming some 30-06 I have 3 five gallon buckets to do.
Where did you get the parts? Any plans to share? I'm considering taking up making one
That is cool, I looked up the thread in the reloading forum. I did not read every post but you got me think'n man, I might have to do one of these.
My biggest concern " What is your drying method / process"
I just was looking at this on the reloading section http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_6_42/360899_Built_a_new_rotary_tumbler.html and said what the hell. Its winter and needed a weekend project. Biggdawg made one and there are a few people that made some and each put their own spin on their design. It all depends on what your able to work with, me easier to work with wood. He has all the info you need on that thread and would not like take anything away from his work.

I have not used it yet waiting for the SS to get here, should be here by thursday. Will make first run on friday, more than likley will air dry or put in oven on low temp. I will post some pics of my brass before and after. The green pipe is costly I got a 10 foot section if someone is local (Warren co) may be able to help out with that.
I have been wet tumbling brass in stainless steel media for about a year now, with excellent results.
When it comes to drying the brass, I have found that dumping the brass on a towel and getting some moisture off that way, then spreading the brass on a baking sheet and putting it in the oven on the warm setting (very very low heat) for about 30 minutes does the trick, with no water spots.
The brass is very clean inside and out, just be sure to look for pins stuck in the primer pocket on .308 brass.
Very nice.

AWE-SUM!
...and here I've been using that crappy cob or nut media running for long hours..
Thanks, Brother! You got me thinking now.
