Cabins in Hocking Hills
Looking to rent a cabin in early summer. Needs to sleep 3-5 couples, deck, hot tub or anything of that nature is a plus. Will be a lot of drinking and some loud music, don't want to offend the neighbors so I am looking for suggestions.

Hocking Hills Cabins, Ohio
Hope this helps. Was down there a few year ago to do the winter hike.
Wish I could tell you where we stayed, but do not remember.
No hot tube or deck. But was out of the way. They let me bring my dogs...big dogs!
Go luck! Be safe!
Of course there will be pictures, right!

I have rented cabins from Old Mans Cave Chalets and have stayed in 2 places that will sleep 5 couples. One is called the Fireside the other is called the Grand Butte, both are very nice, deck, hot tub, out of the way, the Butte is has a pool, they can be pricey but if its split among 5 couples it wont be that bad.
Can you carry there in Wayne National Forest?
We stayed there and really enjoyed ourselves. Nice place.
Can't help you on where to stay, but wanted to say that you'll love Hocking Hills. Went there for our anniversary a few years ago and really enjoyed it!
Another vote for "old mans cave chalets" stayed in a A frame type cabin with my wife and kids.
was very clean and nice , hot tub and deck ,,pretty inexpensive too

+1. We had a great experience there and it was definately out of the way. Real nice cabin, hot tub and seclusion. The hiking was great too!
Friend of mine went to a site called hocking.com and it brought up a zillion cabins he said.

Theoretically yes I belive you can carry in the park, However, most of the cabin contracts Ive seen prohibit firarms inside...so YMMV

Thanks for the replies, Old Man's Cave seems like the way to go. Good selection and description. Had planned on going down for the warrior dash in Logan, but the oldest daughter's dance recital happens to be that Sat evening so back to the drawing boards.
Stay away from "Getaway" cabins, nice cabins, but anti-gun, anti-hunting nazi's. Try the Grouse Nest for eats!
Hope you find what you are looking for.

The "slopeside" cabin was nice and more remote than some located near the office. Also "Hawks Peak" looked nice as well. Just stayed at the "Blackjack" cabin last weekend. Nice as well but not as remote as the others.

And FYI...Strouds Run shooting range near Athens is closed.

that's disappointing. i shot a lot there when went to OU 15 years ago. anywhere near there open to public shooting?
Fallswood Lodge @ Old Mans Cave Chalets is wonderful, too. Hot tub and pool. Beautiful view of the night sky. Very relaxing.
There's a public range about 45 minutes south in Zaleski. Pistol and rimfire. 25 yards maybe??

We just spent last weekend in their Autumn Memories country home. Nice place, great space for visiting, and the hot tub was nice.

Zaleski State Forest has an public range about 30 minutes away from Athens. Downside is they restrict centerfire rifle shooting.
