Shooting range near Strongsville?
Hi All,
My in-laws live outside Cleveland in Strongsville. Every time I'm there I hear the sweet sound of firearms being discharged. I'm taking the wife and kids up there for Christmas and curious where this shooting range is. Would make time at the in-laws so much easier if I brought along my Wilson Combat and spent hours at the range (instead of looking at the in-laws!!!

). Thanks for your help!!
I used to live in Strongsville and I've heard the same thing. I think it's an LEO only range in the nearby Metropark.

I think you're right. I've never heard of any ranges in Strongsville.
However, OP, there's an indoor in Broadview Heights (About 15-20 minutes from strongsville, depending on where).

If you need anything else while you're in town, let me know.

It may have been the Metroparks range but that is now closed to outside agencies due to people complaining of the noise. It also may have been people across the border in Lorain County (Columbia township). No public ranges but a few people have ranges in the backyard.
Strongsville is pretty population dense.
Stonewall over in Broadview Heights (just west of I77) is indoors and always very crowded. Only go if you have a couple of hours to wait in line for a marginal range. There are only a dozen firing points as I recall. I avoid it if at all possible but sometimes need to test fire a pistol so I go during the week at dinner time when it's usually open. Weekends during the holidays will be very crowded.

Thanks all for the info. Is there a range you all would recommend within an hour drive of Strongsville?
There are none I'm aware of that are public. Other than Stonewall "The Home of Retail Prices."

B and T Shooting Supplies Lorain Ohio Store and Shooting Range is about 30 minutes away. I haven't been there in many years so your best bet would be to call first. It was a smaller but decent range when I was last there.

hickory ridge is on rt 42 / pearl road just south of strongsville.
There's a private range (pistol only) by Bagley & Stearns area, maybe that's the area you're taking about?
I hear their commercials on WTAM.

I haven't been there in years but it looks a lot nicer than I remember it being back then.
I heard that the B&T Range in Lorain has been remodled as well but I haven't been out there to check it out.

They put new carpet on the stalls, but everything else is pretty much the same. It is cleaner though, I remember it being very dirty.
Could be that they got a new air cleaner/sucker in there, my hands used to be black when I was done shooting. Now not so much.
No word on the B&T range.

Yeah when I was there before you could see a cloud just kind of sitting in the room. That can't be good. I'm glad they fixed the place up a bit though. I will check it out sometime soon...
If Royal Ridge Shooting Supplies is still open, they had an indoor range. Rt.42 in Brunswick.
Ended up going to a nice outdoor shooting range in Sandusky with a family friend who was a member. LOVED it. Nothing like 30 degrees outdoors with a couple of .45s to get rid of the cabin fever :-)
