Thank you rain! My basement is now flooding upto 2 inches in some parts.

Now i get to spend my week off from work to clean this up. Thanks!!!

Anyone else experiencing the joy of water?

I just bought land. In addition to several springs along my mountainous driveway, it's a torrential flood of rain water. Serious wash-out.

Divert your downspouts at least six feet away from your house. Looks like hell, but my basement has remained dry. Downspouts into the storm drains backed up before I did this. Gonna be a major project to clean the drains out. Maybe after I stop paying college tuition for my daughter...

My sump pump was going seemingly non stop there for awhile, I was passing a house lastnight out in the country and even though it was pitch black outside I could tell this guy was damn near surrounded by water, it looked like he had a moat around his house literally, surprised if he didnt have to have a canoe to get out.

Had a slight amout of water come up thru the floor. I think my problem is a plugged up downspout.

I had a little bit come through one corner, but luckily my base floor there slants towards a floor drain. Lucky because I don't have a crock and a sump down there.
