Opinions?

Knowing the price would be my first question.

If they got stupid and started approaching the OBR territory in terms of price I'd go the OBR. Not to mention Armalite magazines are expensive as hell.

I have an Armalite AR10 that I got back in 1998/99. Good rifle, I also have a spare Aero to share parts as well as compliant mags should I build an OLL style gun.

But with the rise of nearly everyone else out there using the original Armalite/Fairchild magazines, which is what the Magpul polymer 20 is patterned off of, it's almost a no brainer to go with something like a Mega lower to base a build off of.

If you are already invested in the Armalite/Eagle AR10 with M14 based mags, might as well stick with what you know. First time in, I recommend going with what the majority of everyone else is using. Nothing special that devotes me to the M14 mag based Armalite entirely and I have owned one for nearly 15 years.

So this model doesn't use the M14 style magazine?

I don't need another .308 target rifle but could do with a nice battlerifle styled on the AR-10 that used my existing M1A magazines.

Oh no, I am betting it does.

My Aero lower that I have in the safe is an M14 mag based lower just like the Armalite AR10.

Armalite has made two non-M14 mag based rifles that were discussed in other threads but it's got a slightly different name too, like AR10A or some crap.

I'm thinking it does from what I have been told. I don't have an AR10 and was thinking of pulling the plug for 1,500.

Do you mean, "Dropping the hammer" or "tripping the trigger". "Pulling the plug" would mean ending the deal, or not doing the deal.

That was a really bad choice of words.

This is pretty much the setup I have. Aero Precision lower, Armalite NM AR10 upper, RRA LPK w/ two stage trigger and bullet button.

It's my favorite rifle...VERY comfortable to shoot especially with a bipod. Uses standard AR10 mags(chaaCHING).

Nice!

Are you going to stick with the standard stock?
