Places to shoot in/near Sacramento Co.?

I have a friend here in my course at Ft. Huachuca who I've got interested in guns. He's purchased a few here and is interested in finding a few places back home to do some shooting. As of now he has a few pistols and a shotgun. He's aware of the CA laws on mag restrictions and has picked up some 10rnd mags, and he may pick up a CA compliant AR in the next few weeks before heading back. He wasn't sure where he can shoot when he gets back home though. Any suggestions on a few indoor ranges as well as possibly some outdoor ranges within a reasonable drive?

Yolo Sportsmans Association in Woodland (about 20 minutes west of sac) - Outdoor
Sacramento Valley Shooting Center in Sloughhouse (about 15 minutes south of Sac)- Outdoor

I think that Sac. Shooting Center is a 1000yd, range with lots of cool stuff going on.

If I lived closer I'd be all over it.

Interdasting. I have gotten out to 600 at my local shooting spot. But 1,000 is more than I've got right now. I might have to get down that way.

Check their website as they have specific rules regarding the use of the 1000 yd range. Qualifying on the 300 yd range used to be one of them as well as having to have a buddy with you to work the target pit. It's been awhile since I checked the requirements, but those two stand out in my memory.

I've shot at all the shooting ranges mentioned in this ad and must say the Sac Valley Shooting Center is the best. It is clean, organized and there are like 10 or 11 different shooting ranges that you can use if your a member there. I do not think there are any other 1000 yard ranges in Sac besides Sac Valley Center.
