I heard this idiot on the radio today. That case had nothing to do with stand your ground.
It is kind of hard to run when you are on you back being beaten by someone on top

Yeah it's the usual suspects who are behind the uproar.
The best thing about our current statutes is that if God forbid, someone has to use deadly force in self defense; neither the criminal scmbag, his grieving relatives, nor some Sunday morning quarterback "do gooders", a liberal minded judge, politically minder prosecuters, over zealous law enforcement agent,.....the unscrupulous media,...pandering politicians.....or anyone else can ruin your life after the fact IF YOU ACTED LAWFULLY.
This is the the concept that the bastards who are attacking our fine laws want to abolish.
That you can LAWFULLY defend yourself from a violent criminal who has already decided that he may use deadly force against you or your loved ones at his own whim.
They want to blur the clear line between scumbag and victim in order that if you have to use deadly force due to the actions of a criminal; your life as you knew it is over and done with because, one way or another, criminally or civilly, you face ruin at the hands of those who do not want to see you able to defend yourself from dangerous criminals.

Zimmerman didn't chase Martin? Martin attacked Zimmerman? Good use of 'Stand Your Ground.' No need to even look at revising the statute.

I agree with this. It looks like the dumb son of a gun was playing hero for no reason. If you're looking for an excuse to shoot someone, you usually don't have to try very hard...

Predators hate it when their prey has sharper teeth than they do.
Anyone who is against SYG, is just supporting the predators.
It boggles the mind that ANYONE could argue against someone defending their own life from a predator.
If someone tells me their against the SYG law, all i hear is "I'm a worthless POS, and have no interest in personal responsibilty. Since I am incapable of taking care of myself, no one else should be able to either. The Government should be taking care of all of us."
What is wrong with this country? The Pround American should be included on the Endagered Species List.
