I need an ar sight base drilled to match my barrel. I have a undrilled FSB and Barrel. Looking for an affordable solution to my problem.

Sorry My location is Michigan (Metro Detroit Area). Prefer a local gunsmith but if it needs to be sent out I will do that to.

Please point me in the direction of a qualified AR Smith

I am slightly afraid of Canting my front sights by doing it myself. Only thing I can think of is drilling it with the bit in the barrel running the drill bit through a predrilled sight base and seeing where that lands me (Pre drilled but does not match the barrel).

Why not drill it yourself?

Fits correctly?

FSB's are placed on the barrel in the appropriate posistion then drilled for either taper pins or straight pinsm by the barrel manufacturer. You are not going to find one that "fits correctly" FSB's come un drilled and have to be done by someone like ADCO that does this for a living.

Forget drilling the barrel and using pins. Drill the FSB from the bottom and tap for set screws. Once you have the front sight centered tighten the hell out of the set screws and use some Green (wicking Lock Tight) to set it permenantly in place. Problem solved.
