I'm not entirely sure what this type of thing is worth, so feel free to tell me (via PM) if the asking price is too high. In any case, the story behind this rifle is that I bought it from a friend, who had purchased it from one of his Grandmothers friends. Her husband had just passed away, and this had sat in his closet for about 20 years untouched. The cloth bag that it sat in literally fell apart on the gun, and somehow the old warhorse didn't rust as far as I could see. I stripped it down, and cleaned all of the parts, oiled it, and made sure it shot with the ammo I purchased with it (which came in the box pictured below), and it shot fine. When I purchased the rifle, it was missing both the upper and lower handguards, as well as the upper and lower handguard bands. I purchased and installed them all on the rifle, as pictured:
Oh, I forgot to add, the remainder of the ammo (50-100 rounds or so) is free to whomever purchases the rifle. The ammo in the clips is good ammo, the loose ammo hesitates before firing, and most of it is dated in the 1940s. That loose ammo box leads me to believe that it's surplus WW2 AP ammo, but I'm not an expert
The pictures above are the gun after I cleaned it up. The pictures below are the pictures of BEFORE the gun was cleaned up. (Note: The .303 Savage came with the rifle, but is NOT to be used in the rifle, it's a different caliber)
