Bought a SAR1 AK off "oldgunner". He has yet, weeks later, to send a physical copy or email scan copy of his drivers license to log it into our bound book. Rifle arrived without any paperwork.
Can a mod perhaps contact him to get the DL? I have both emailed and PMd him without any reply. Thanks
It is not Law that sellers give copies of Drivers Lic, you will need to deal with this one

ATF can and will confiscate a gun without a record of where it came from. Law or not they will. You can try and dicker with a field agent but I promise you, it won't end well if you say you know the law better than they.
No reason someone should not send it after saying in advance they will before even sending payment to them.
That said can you please just send a PM to have him send me a DL copy.
The sellers personal info for the bound book is not the site's issue. If you are a dealer you will need to contact Jorge @ advertise@ar15.com and become a paid dealer. Do not place any ads until you have done this.

Simple possession of a FFL means you have to become a paid dealer, even if you dont engage in business here or post things for sale??
I'm not posting guns for sale here or anything, I simply bought a SAR1 because I wanted another for myself. Ridiculous I need to pay money as a vendor to buy a gun for myself here.
"10. Anyone selling or interested in selling large quantities, recurring stock, or selling for profit needs a Dealer Account in order to sell on the site. Businesses are required to have a Dealer or Industry Partner Account in place before selling on the site."
I am not selling on the site, much less selling company stock products here. There is nothing in the EE rules requiring me to pay to be a vendor to BUY a gun for myself.
I can assure you it will be an issue if the gun is confiscated by the ATF upon an inspection because there is ZERO record of showing who the gun came from.
It's not only " the sites issue" for collecting money from me for being a sponsor/advertiser ( im not engaging in sales here as a vendor) when I can't even get someone to enforce the EE regs to prevent a gun from being taken away.
It's not up to the mods to help enforce agreements made on sales or assist to help keep happy the ATF? I'm asking for a mod to shoot the guy a PM requesting a copy of his DL.
Again it was PART OF HIS SALES AGREEMENT WITH ME.
If no DL was going to be provided then I wouldn't of purchased the gun.
I am saying quite simply, It is up to buyers and sellers to know the laws and follow all State and Federal laws. You should have clarified this issue with the seller before you completed the deal.
We are not responsible nor are we going to get involved in this kind of issue. As to the non paying dealer issue. Do not sell anything from your business on the EE until and if you have permission from Jorge.
