Had a potential buyer post this on my ad:

Now I know this doesn't constitute enough, then this was the IM's:
I got to apologize.
I had some friends helping me look for a gun and someone pointed me to an incredible deal.
I was able to get a new Barrett 6.8 rec7 for $1775 free shipping.
That is an incredible deal I have to take. Here in town they are $2100 then + tax.

I can pick up a case, if you want to have it in a case. I will stop by Walmart and see what they have. The easiest way for me to get a copy of the FFL would be for them to email a copy, I can do fax, but I have to be at work when they send it so it doesn't get lost.

i already have financing approved so this should be smooth.
i really want a case for it to ship in to protect it, nothing fancy just safe.

i just talked to him and he said you will need his licenses to ship it and you will need to include a copy of your drivers licenses and my name as purchaser

The lowered price was down to $900. This is 6.8SPC, it is just the current and best version of 6.8, it will fire all variations of the 6.8 cartridge. I can ship it to an FFL dealer in Texas.
I do not have any optics to go with it. It does not come with a case, I could buy one to send it in or get a box to send it in. If you want it let me know. I will not ship until I have the money.

I was a little leary just because the account was created yesterday, but I figure, if he sends me money, and I am shipping to an FFL then I am covered.

Sounds like scammer wording to me. Not sure how anyone could pull off a scam if you are sending to an ffl though.

Just make sure you have the money in hand before shipping. And make sure to work all details out for the sale.

The only possible issue I see is that your last response is that you will get back to him.
The case and shipping hadn't been worked out yet.
Still though, sounds like he was all ready to go until he found another deal.

I did actually go out and buy a new case to send it in, but I can return it. Just seemed like the guy was ready to buy and then, poof gone!
Not a huge deal, but it just seems like a new guy should learn that you can't come jumping in saying you will buy and then back out.

Since it got to the point where it cost you money I would say he deserves atleast a -1.
