These sling plates are designed to make it easy and quick to attach/detach a sling from the Magpul PRS® riflestock.
The QD sockets are designed with a rotation-limiting feature which allows for a +/- 30 degrees of rotation from the horizontal or vertical orientation (depending upon which orientation the QD swivel is initially installed).

Take note of the raised "bridge" section of the sling plate, the reasons for this feature are threefold.
First, should any mud or debri get into the swivel socket, simply push the QD swivel into the hole any mud/debris will be displaced out through the bottom of the socket hole.
Second, should anything happen to the QD sling swivel and no spares are available, one can use some 550 para cord as a temporarily/field-expedient sling attachment method.
Third, the "bridge" section raises the sling and swivel high enough to clear the length-of-pull knob so as not to bind with the knob when the shooter is slung-up.

The Model 1 sling plate (US Patent Pending) are designed as a direct replacement for OEM Magpul PRS® sling-plates, and are designed to re-use the original Magpul® sling plate bolts.

Here is a view of an (uncoated) prototype next to the OEM Magpul PRS® sling plate:

The Cascadia Armament Design QDSP Mod 1 (Quick Disconnect Sling Plate) is a very robust design as can be seen in this next to the OEM Magpul sling-plate:

Here is a view of the production QDSP Model 1 Sling Plate Kit, it comes with everything needed for installation (QD sling plate, hex key, and Vibra-tite thread locking compound):

Here is what the QDSP Model 1 looks like installed on a Magpul PRS® riflestock:

Here is a view of the QDSP Model 1 with sling and heavy-duty QD sling swivels installed.
As you can see, the QDSP Mod 1's fit into either the front or rear sling plate positions:

In addition, there is also the QDSP Model 2 sling plate (US Patent Pending) which I call the "ambidextrous kit".
I works in conjunction with the Model 1, comes with a set of custom bolts, and has all of the same features:

The Model 1 and Model 2, when used together, allow for weak-side/strong-side employment of a rifel equipped with a Magpul PRS rifle stock.

The QDSP Model 1 kit sells for $32.95 plus shipping (and applicable sales tax for Washington State residents).

The QDSP Model 2 kit sells for $37.95 plus shipping (and applicable sales tax for Washington State residents).

The reason why the Model 2 sells for more is that the bolts must be bought, re-machined, stripped of their black-oxide coatings, and re-coated in mil-spec manganese phosphate (with a 4-hour post-bake).
So I am selling them (at-cost) for $2.50 each in an attempt to keep the costs down.

There is also a newly opened dealer forum (admittedly not much in there at the moment): http://www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=2&f=448

The material used in these products is aerospace-grade aluminum (material inspection reports available upon request) and is therefore subject the ITAR restrictions and cannot be sold outside of the US without permission from the US State Department.

The name Magpul PRS® is a registered trademark and is the intellectual property of Magpul Industries Corporation.

To avoid any sort of confusion, there are two ways to order from the Cascadia Armament Design online store (http://cascadiaarmamentdesign.com/store/)

This icon is for use with mail-in orders (some folks prefer to do it this way):

This icon is for use with debit-card and credit-card transactions.
Basically just like Paypal except they won't lock my account for selling gun-related parts and the fees for me are cheaper:
