This guy posted this mount on the EE and i bought it. (link below)

http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_23/978134_BRAND_NEW_Cantilever_30MM_Mount___SOLD___.html

Payment was sent April 4th via paypal. I have the receipt showing where payment was made. I did not recieve my mount or hear from DANGER23 until April 17th when I emailed him asking here my mount was. I got the following response.

Sorry I am not a store and I also have a full time job that limits when I am
able to ship items. Last week I also had to take a week to travel to Georgia
because my Grandfather passed away. If you leave negative feedback that is fine
I will do the same.

I finally received my mount today on april 19th and I have to say I am not happy with receiving my mount 19 days after I payed for it with absolutely no communication from DANGER23 until I emailed asking where my mount is. Also his idea of safe shipping is wrapping the small box it came in from primay arms with clear packing tape with a stamp on it. If I try to remove the packing tape from the original box its going to rip the hell out of it. I did my part and payed him and and it took almost 3 weeks to get it.

You got your mount, so what kind of resolution you looking for? Yes, it was poor shipping on his part.

Just don't leave him feedback.

I think a neutral would be great.

Because it takes 10 minutes, 1 day, a week, two weeks to make it to the post office?

Love the full-time job excuse, straight to ignore.

Did it arrive safely? was the item as advertised ? Slow shipping is not really a punishable action and in particular if the seller had a death in the family. If the answer to the first two questions is yes I would let this slide.

I agree that in circumstances related to family deaths, we ought to cut folks some slack. That said, the threat of retaliation is not so very cool.

Ya know I knew this name looked familiar. I had a dealing with him, which went smooth besides the slow shipping as well, and everything was as described. He told me the slow shipping was due to an unexpected death in GA between 3/21 and 3/27...maybe he did have a followup from that?

OP, did this item arrive in as advertised condition ?

yes it did. But my frustration lies with the near 3 weeks it took to get to me with no contact in between. apparently im not the only one who got the old death in the family story.

Not exactly the way I would explain my failure to follow through in a timely manner.

able to ship items. Last week I also had to take a week to travel to Georgia
because my Grandfather passed away. If you leave negative feedback that is fine
I will do the same.

I have seen member post that they have limited access to shipping based on their work schedule.
This forewarns the buyer that shipping may be slow.

Also, I HATE getting an item where the box is wrapped in tape, buy some brown paper and spend 5 minutes wrapping it.

Yes my Grandfather DID pass away and I had to take 3 trips from Wisconsin to Georgia; 1 for his passing and services, 2 to help my grandmother deal with the legal and estate issues and 3 to help her move from her home in to a Senior living facility. I am sorry that you did not get your $15 mount for 3 weeks but you are not telling the FULL story about how the transaction went.

I listed the Item on 3/29 at $20 and you replied to my thread a few hours later with; "IM sent. First in line", You sent me an IM and said you wanted the mount for $15, I replied that I just posted the mount and wanted to wait to see if I could get a better price. You then asked if the mount was new condition and had all the parts with it. I replied that it did and sent my Payment information, then I never heard back from you.

I Bumped the add on the 4th with a price drop to $18 and then sent you an email; If you still need the High cantilever mount I will let it go for $15 shipped. Please let me know if you are interested! Thanks
You replied; "Is this Danger23", my reply was; "Yes it is Danger 23 from AR15.COM! You replied; "STOP FILLING UP MY INBOX!!!!" Then several hours later followed up with "PAYMENT SENT PAYMENT SENT!!!! SHIP TO....."

On the 14th you emailed me "payment was sent for the high cant mount and i have not received it yet." I replied that it had shipped. You replied; "well I have not got it yet and it should have been here long ago. I payed you. I dont have my item still. I hope you don't expect good feedback!!!!"..... that is when I sent the email in the OP.

Yes it took me a long time to ship the mount but given the totality of the circumstances, juggling family issues, the passing of my Grandfather, traveling back and forth to GA (17hr drive one way) and working 12hr shifts, a 15 dollar mount was NOT my first priority! For those that don't know me I am a 4 tour (Iraq & Afghanistan) combat veteran with 10yrs of active service in the Infantry and now a Police Officer.

As for the packing, SORRY but shipping was FREE and it was shipped in the box that it came in from the manufacture!!
Your mount shipped 10 DAYS FROM WHEN PAYMENT WAS SENT and it was sent 3day priority!

Again we are talking about a $15 mount VS. My family!

Communication is every thing . If your selling on the EE, buyers of your items ARE a high priority regardless of the cost of the item. While your service is commendable it has nothing to do with this issue as does the fact that you are a LEO. Again, if you are going to sell on the EE you must treat all buyers as a high priority. If you can't do this then do not sell here.

ETA- a search shows that you were on and posted different ads on 4 /1 , 4 / 6 , 4 / 9 , 4 / 16 , 4 / 17 and 4 / 19 so I do not want to hear about your long days, deployments, LEO work or other personal problems as it seems you were quite busy posting ads during this entire issue time frame.

Yes it was poor communication and shipping on my part and I have admitted to that!

I posted about my Military service and current LEO status because people are attacking my integrity and seem to think I am trying to scam someone!! So it has A LOT to do with the issue!

The payment was posted late on the 4th, SHE/HE received the mount on the 19th= 15 days in total and if you count business days/ shipping days it is 13 days NOT 3 WEEKS.

I would have replied sooner but I never received any form of notice pertaining to this thread other than "crowboy" sending me a warning yesterday on 4/22.

Danger23 has received a 30 day EE suspension. After 30 days he can be reinstated if he can convince me that his future buyers will be a priority for him.
