I've ordered tens of thousands of rounds from them over several years along with some guns. Never had a problem. Buying during times of stupidity is never a good idea......

Sorry you had that experience. They've always treated me well and warned of price increases way before they reach the consumer. They definitely don't do it to fear monger either. They even post about shipping delays on their website.
Did I miss the PSA regarding the "mini frenzy" and "times of stupidity"? Is there another run on ammunition? (Serious question)
Other than the 900 rounds of El Salvadoran 8mm that Wideners sold me years ago, which they swore to me over the phone was both "sure fire and non-corrosive" of which it was neither, they have been GTG for me on many other orders. I would not worry. If they have charged your credit card then the price has been agreed to. It is probably just taking a little longer to ship than average.

You don't get out much do you? Right now guns and ammo are flying off the shelves all over the country. The number of NICS checks hit a record in February....and the funny thing about that is that more and more people are exempted from NICS due to CHL's all the time....so they are REALLY selling a shit ton of guns and ammo.
If you have stocked up and are just trying to buy some "using" ammo it's a pain in the ass.....if you are just now trying to stock up....that's stupidity.
You all may very well be right, but I do not like the way this order has been handled, or not handled.
The day I placed the order, their webpage said "Current shipping delays 5-7 days" it now has been changed to say 8-10 days.
The biggest thing to me was, charging my card 10 days ago, and still 10 days later, not having shipped my purchase.
The company I work for, and most of our vendors, issue the charge on the card, the day the item is pulled or ships?
I still feel like even the worst customer service should reply to an email or be able to answer the phone.
But that is just me.

I've had many cases of ammo of all calibers delivered to me from Wideners, along with numerous ammo cans, and have never had anything but a good experience with them. Quick shipping, good packaging, etc.

My order took almost two weeks to get to me; no big deal. dradis took care of me.
I placed an order on March 5th and got the shipping notice today. Thus far all of my past orders with Widener's have been good to go.
I ordered from Wideners 10 days ago and my order showed up yesterday. A little slow, but it got here.
They are one of the best to order from, never a problem. They can be slow at peak ammo times.

OP, they have a policy to have a copy of your ID. Do they have a copy of yours?
I would try to get mad along with you, OP, but their shipping to me for a case of 7.62x39 is ridonculous, so I never buy anything from them anyways. I wish SGammo would get some Yugo stuff in.

Advice taken, email sent, I will update thread accordingly, when and if, I get a reply.
To further explain my angst, I have been trying since day one of placing the order to get in touch, to make a change to my order.

Great advice. I have found if the vendor is on the industry forum that is the best way to reach them or resolve any issues.
I have to admit that Wideners shipping times are painfully slow but at least they have the shipping times in big red letters on their homepage. They dont keep you in the dark like some vendors do.

Well, that just means you need me to cover the shipping of the lead core to me.
When the IMI m193 went out of stock, I had an order of it in the queue. I simply emailed them with my concerns, and they responded within 24 hours.
They place the shipping time in big red letters of the website.
I must say the IMI m855 is fantastic!
Widener's is a great company, I've been buying stuff from them for over 15 years.

Just got off the phone with Andy, he emailed me first thing this
morning, and then we got on the phone together, he has taken care of me
and my issue's.
I gave him my sincere apology for blasting them, and explained to him why I did.
I will buy from Widener's in the future, (if they let me), and like everyone else has said repeatedly, they are GTG!
Again, I apologize to Andy/Widener's and thank him for correcting my mistake.
I am now "officially" eating crow.
