Anyone have experience with Botach Technical?

So I decided I'm going to order this upper today. The question is whether I order through Bravo Company or Botach Technical

http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/LMT-10-5-M4-Carbine-Upper-Receiver-Group-p/lmt%2010.5%20urg.htm

$500 at Bravo Company shipped

http://www.botachtactical.com/lmt10upreas.html

$437 at Botach Tactical shipped

Now I know Bravo Company is top notch but is Botach Tactical so bad that I should spend $63 more for the same upper?

Also what BCG/Charging handle should I go with? I figure I'd go through a sponsor and pick up a LMT BCG to match the upper but wanted opinions.

All of this is going on a registered RRA lower but that shouldn't make much of a difference.

Both times I ordered from them I had hell getting my product. Try calling the support line and it will speak for itself they are rude and not helpful. Probably a reason that ARFCOM does not support them.

I will never order from them I will pay premiums to not deal with them.

I only ordered magpul mags from them, never had an issue.
Always got them fairly quickly.

I'd get an LMT BCG and a BCM gunfighter charging handle.

if you want the upper right now with no bullshit, buy from Bravo Company, you'll have the order mid-week next week.

if you do want the upper right now, but still want to save $63, order from botach, get the upper at some point between next week and never, spend countless hours calling and emailing to find your order status.

if you don't care when you get the upper, and feel that $63 is worth saving, order from botach, and let it ride. be pleasantly surprised when you receive your upper someday.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback. Looks like I'll be spending extra money and guaranteeing the item :)

Yep, Botach does not actively set out to screw anyone over. The problem is they have those low prices because they keep their overhead rock-bottom by having the bare minimum of skeleton-crew staffing. (And imagine what they pay the folks who aren't in the family, and the employee turnover must be quite high... ) and they've probably piss poor logistics and order process internally as well. I also suspect they give full priority to any GSA/.gov/.mil or LEO/LEA orders first since Uncle Sam is a lot less forgiving a customer to deal with.

So I will order from Botach, when the savings are sufficient to be worth taking the risk, but I only do it if it's not a disaster that I might have to wait weeks or months to save that money.

If it's just some non essential accessory, and the timing is such that I'm ordering in the dead of winter, and won't get to the range until spring, and I'm saving a significant amount of money, I'll take a chance on Botach. If it's something critical like an entire upper, or something where I won't have a usable firearm if the order goes Tango-Uniform/FUBAR, I'll pay the extra gladly to go with someone else.

You use Botach like you use the no-name generic crap at the supermarket, when it doesn't make any difference except the savings.

I've purchased small items from Botach, like magpul stuff, mags, bad lever, MBUS sights, etc

Never had a problem, others may tell a different story

Never had a problem personally, but I've heard that you should call and make sure the item is in stock before ordering

Botach went MIA on my order and it took over a week to get someone to answer the phone. They then charged my credit card numerous times for the same items about 30-45 days apart. I had to wind up canceling my credit card and changing the number for it to stop. Many people have been burned by Botach, just google Botach fraud and watch all the listings.

They may have changed their tune, but I will never use them again no matter what the savings.

I ordered a Pmag from there the other day. The next day I got the email that it's on back order. I'm not in a rush so I'm going to wait it out and see how long it takes to get the mag.

I've used them many times and been completely happy with the shipping (free) and the price. Why don't you call and confirm that the item is in stock first?

I've bought from them several times, just got a package today. I did have to wait a bit to get my Aimpoint M4s from them a few years ago but the price was so good I didn't mind too much. a couple small orders recently have been fine. However, they do have a poorer reputation while BCM has a great one.

+1 for Bravo Co. Everything I have ever ordered from them was either shipped the same day or the morning after order placement. I ordered some gunfighter charging handles from them last year, I placed the order like Tuesday afternoon. They came in the mail on Thursday To be fair, Bravo Co. can be hard to get a hold of too. They are so busy because EVERYONE is ordering from them they can't always answer the phone Not that you need to call them because their site is pretty darn accurate on inventory and they get your order to you so fast you don't have time to call them. They're like the Jimmy Johns of AR-15s

Big + 1 for the BCM Gunfighter Charging Handle. I have put a Mod. 4 Gunfighter on every AR I've ever had.

On the bolt carrier, I'd go with an LMT if it were me. I'm kinda OC about the main components matching

I have ordered from them twice. First time was a Charlie Foxtrot, second time was OK. It's a crapshoot with them.

They suck. You can close your eyes and run drunk across the road in front of your house probably twenty times before you get run over, but it's not a good idea.

Like others have said if you are not in a hurry or buying accessories your life doesn't depend on it then go with Botach. Free Shipping & Tax is great and the price is fairly competitve. And yes, call first to make sure it's in stock. I waited for my Eotech for 5 days without any email status being sent to me, so I decided to call only to find out it is on backorder.

I've heard all the horror stories but my personal experience was completely different.

I ordered an LMT rear sight for $49 (great deal) with free shipping, it arrived 3 days later.

I've also read about all the bad deals people have had with Botach, but i've had nothing but great experiences with them. I've purchased from them 7 times now, both from there website and ebay. Most of my orders are here via UPS ground with 3-4 days of ordering.

I would buy from them again anytime.

I have place several orders over the last few years and had no problems. I check there first when I'm looking for something.

I just went through my emails and counted 21 order invoices from Botach since 2006. I've never had a single problem with them. Botach has been as reliable for me as Amazon, Brownells, Newegg, or any other reputable online vendor. I had two friends order Aimpoint magnifiers from them last year and both were very satisfied. OP take what you read on AR15.com about Botach with a grain of salt.

Take that salt and then go do a google search. It's not just Arfcom that's had problems. There is a reason they were kicked off of here. There is a reason that people recommend other places. If they do say buy from botach it's with the caveat of call to check if it's in stock.

Generally, the few dollars you save isn't worth the possible grief?

Maybe they have gotten better. I haven't ordered from them in several years. However, my last order with them was so fucked up I will never order from them again regardless of how good their prices are!

All companies screw up! When you have a problem with Botach, pray you payed by credit card! They don't just have shitty customer service, they have zero customer service! They don't answer the phone and they don't answer emails.
