I'm new to this board and was wondering if anyone here has done business with Palmetto State Armory. They do not show up on the BBB website and given my below experience, I'm now questioning if this is an actual business or a scam site.
My experience: Placed an ammo order online. Their site says they ship 1-2 days w/in receiving your order (and charging your card). 5 days later, my order is still showing "Processing" status, so I called them on both of their numbers, one voicemail is full and the other number rings about 20 times before I'm informed that the cell phone is not accepting calls right now (no land line?)
Emailed them again, and received a note back that my order "will probably ship tomorrow". The next day, status still shows "Processing" so I email them to cancel the order (according to their websites' instructions) and called them probably 10 times during business hours today to confirm order cancellation- again, no one answered the phone once. Order still "Processing" (should be "Canceled")
Did I just get taken by a scam site? Or is their customer service just terrible?

I'm frankly shocked. I have been doing business with them for awhile now and I have never had anything other than the best service rendered. I really do not know what to say other than to answer the initial question and say yes, they are a legitimate business.

They are legit.
The problem they are having is due to under-staffing.
That company has grown at an amazing rate and they are having issues with the few people they have being able to process everything as fast as advertised.

Yep, they're legit. They may be experiencing growth pains though. They're an industry partner and they have a thread where you can ask about the status of your order. It's probably the easiest way to get ahold of them.

Yup, sure are. Ordered a LPK last month and just ordered some spare parts the other day.

The rifle I bought from them is flawless.
Their ammo I bought last fall arrived promptly.
As I understand it, they fired some folks after some QC problems made it into customer's hands, and are having trouble staffing qualified people, but that's all rumor.

Palmetto is a stand up company that is going through some growing pains at the moment. They have a good product at a very reasonable price so they seem to be pretty busy. Post in their industry forum tacked thread about your order and you will get an answer.
Personally, I have had NO problem reaching them via phone recently when I ordered some lowers and ammo. I had to make sure my FFL sent his copy and had my order number on it. I called a few minutes before the store opened.

Thanks for the quick replies everyone. I'm relieved to hear that I won't have to cancel my credit card, etc!
Though I will say that given the great service I've received from many other vendors, PSA hasn't given me a reason to consider them for future purchases.

i ordered some ammo as well, all most a week ago and they have still not sent me anything other than my recite stating they took my money. i called and called, and emailed. no response yet. i have done business with them for a couple years now, and they always have been great. this time, not so great. i did not cancel my order yet, but i have taken the remainder of my order else where...
