Had a trade setup about a week ago, been 5 days now and no response/followup. The guy literally has a post count of zero, no feedback, non-Team Member, the name he gave doesn't match his email name (despite the email address being very similar to his screenname), etc. and now he's ducking me. I'm not really upset by this, but I marked my item "trade pending" about 2 weeks ago when he said he was in, so that sucks; mostly I'm just worried that it's a scam and he's looking to grab some loot for free (especially with the two different names).

Guide me ARFCOM.

Sorry man, just got home earlier today, long week, I have her, ready for pictures or whatever you want. Easiest way for me would be to text them to you, but if you need via email, that's fine too, let me know what you want shots of, she looks basically new in box w/ tags (pun intended) and paperwork, there are light scratches on the band but as you can see from the pics already up, the face looks pretty much immaculate. Let me know what you need and I'll get it over to you ASAP.

I sent him a few more PMs and an email but that's the last response from him. I don't have a copy of those as for some reason my account doesn't save copies of sent IMs- I have done due diligence here trying to reach him- obviously I want the trade to go down.

Wow, really? Didn't you get my VM telling you I was going to be out of touch until Friday and I need your FFL to send a copy of his FFL paperwork to my FFL before they will ship the firearm. It is already sitting at their office, just waiting FOR YOU... I left the same VM for your FFL and did not get a call back from either one of you! This is unbelievable. Five days is how long you had to wait and you are throwing a tissy? Shit, I asked you for more photos of the watch and didn't hear from you for five days. You said you would be out of pocket, so I did not panic. Why would you? Unreal.

The email address that I use from my laptop does not have my real name because I make damn MONITORING SOFTWARE. I use that account for creating demo data of unacceptable work behavior and really don't want my real name associated with that demo data. That is why I called you and gave you my real name, number, address, etc. I can't believe this. I initiated this trade, I pushed for all the follow up, I was patient when you said you would be out of pocket, I called you! I called your FFL! I set this whole thing up with my FFL! I have driven this entire process and now that I have been out of pocket for the same five days and told you beforehand... THIS IS WHAT YOU POST? AMAZING. Thanks for the -1.

The OP obviously thought there was an issue here, maybe it's on his end, maybe not.

Can you guys work together now and get this deal moving forward, it sounds to me like you both want nothing more than to complete the deal.

Easy Catfish, I'm not trying to screw anyone here. All names/personal info have been removed, there is nothing here that's going to stick if the deal goes down.

I did not receive any Voicemail nor any other correspondence from you until I posted this thread, you still didn't respond to any of the other messages, just to the -1 thread. Couple that with the fact that you've used two different names and you must admit, it looks pretty fishy (again, pun intended).

No blood, no foul though, we'll get this sorted- enough bullshit threats via PM, let's be adult here - I'm just trying to protect myself, not drag your screenname through the mud.

BTW, This whole thread and the -1 will disappear once this is resolved, none of this is permanent.

Also, look at this from my perspective- new user, 2 names, items valued over $500, no messages for 5 days. You can say it's AMAZING or UNBELIEVEABLE and that I'm throwing/having a tissy, but I don't know you, your name doesn't carry any weight/reputation/feedback here. I'm merely looking out for my best interests and the interests of the community.

Did he tell you he would be out of contact til friday and did you send the FFL info? I he did and you didn't then yes you jumped the gun because today is friday and why haven't you sent the info he requested?

He said he left a voicemail- while I didn't get it, I don't doubt he did- my service is awful and I might get it next month.

My info has been sent, in the hands of my FFL now, that's who he's talking about.

You must have the same service my buddy has, he'll get voice mails 2-3 days after they were left.

I actually got your FFL on the phone while I was at my FFL today and had them talk. Seems the delay was your FFL was waiting to release his paperwork until he received the paperwork from mine. Seems he thought he was sending a firearm back to me and that is not the case. So, he said he was sending info over to process and the gun is at my FFLs awaiting a Monday ship date. They said it is going out first thing.

Rock and roll, sorry to jump the gun w/this thread.

Watch will be out w/insurance and tracking # as soon as the pistol shows up, she's boxed up and ready to go.


FWIW, I did get his voicemail, sorry man.

I don't know if this is typical or not, but my FFL said they will have a tracking gnumber and ensure the gun up to $600.00 but they could not get me the tracking number today.. Said the young lady who does their transfers was out of the office. I don't know if we need it, but would be nice to have. They charged me $35.00 for the shipping part and said they just send it via USPS with the speediest they can afford with the $35.00. I would assume it will be there before the weekend if it left Monday morning.

No worries, it'll get there eventually.

100% squared away now. Catfishbeach completely upheld his end of the deal and the whole -1 fiasco was due to my missing his communications.

Deal went down, his pistol was in amazing condition and just as described.

A +1 was given in his feedback, highly recommended guy.
