I need a rail for a 8 inch barrel HK 51 manufactured by Red Dog Target Systems. Does anyone know if the Surefire MP 5 rail will work?
I would proubably call Adam Webber and ask him. He has great customer service. I want to say that even though its a .308 the MP5/94/53 hand guards fit. But to start look at www.hkparts.net Adam will treat you right! Can we see a picture of whats currently installed?
B&T rails are much nicer.
The surefire rail should fit great. In fact, that's what I have on my 51.
I cannot comment on the B&T, but all of my scope mounts are well made, other than price difference, you will be GTG with either one.

I had the SureFire rail on my H&K/Flemming 51 as well. It worked. What I did not like was the gap on top. When I had the 51 rebuilt into a G3K I went with the B&T, much nicer looks.
