Can you suppress a PTR91 and if so will it run on subsonic 7.62?

I Just purchased a low serial number PTR 91 AW03XX. Question #1 Can this rifle be suppressed and will it cycle properly with say an AAC7.62 suppressor? Question #2 IF it does cycle with the suppressor will it still cycle on subsonic 7.62?

Just wondering if anyone has tried it before I put the money into the gun only to have it not cycle properly.

Let me hear your thoughts guys.

PS yes I know about some guns not liking certain ammo.

Do not fire any subsonic rifle caliber ammunition in HK guns, or any clone which has a fluted chamber.

Well that's good info! THANKS! Any clue about running a suppressor on one with match ammo or the ammo PTR says it should shoot?

You can but you will get a face full of back pressure gas which lots of fun.

Yeah, what Osprey21 said. You, sir, need yourself an MP5. You could go with either a 9mm or .40 S&W. That way, you could get the bullet weight of the .308 and operate just fine with subsonic.

That's the problem with .308 Win subsonic. By the time you get it going that slow, it's less effective than subsonic .40 S&W ammo.
