It is mostly Winchester with an HRA trigger group. Took it out to the range today for a shake down run and she didn't skip a beat. Ran 100 rounds of surplus 7.62 through it and she cycled like a champ.

I put a fresh coat of boiled linseed oil on the stock when I got home from the range. It really brings out the wood grain of the walnut stock.

CMP "A" grade kit: $600
SA Inc receiver: $600
USGI bolt: $250
USGI barrel: $300

Your looking at around $1700 just to get in the game.

The 1963 Winchester barrel and bolt I bought off of Gunbroker. The SA Inc. receiver I bought from Champion's choice. I had the barrel mated to the receiver and headspaced by Darlington Gun Works.

A fine rifle indeed, but no usgi parts if that's what one is after.

Sweet stick!
I'm curious what Darlington hit you for their work. I've had two CMP kits sitting around for a couple years, and two LRB consecutive #'d receivers for about 5yrs. Might be time to get off my ass and get them built.

To install the barrel and headspace the bolt they charged me $55.

It's an old-school gun shop and they don't have a website but here is some info on them:

Where did you get your fake fun switch?

Very nice rifle you have there, sir!

I bought a complete set of parts off of GB for about $60 and put them on myself. The hardest part is getting the mounting block(mine is aluminum)the right shape to keep the switch mount in the correct position so it will appear to work(turn 360 degrees). Once I got the block shaped right I screwed it to the stock with two little brass screws and I used JB Weld to attach the switch mount to it. It turned out very sturdy. Here is a couple of crappy pictures of the aluminum block.
