Were there more than one generation of stocks?
Thanks in advance,

IF you decide to put them on the market, please let me know. I am in Va Beach BTW.
Thank you
The stock without checkering is a somewhat rare variation. Freds used to advertise them with a slight premium over the more common type.
Edit;
They still show them for sale. They claim that the smooth sided stock is the 1st generation synthetic. Selling theirs in "Good" condition for $125.00.

Using Fred's pricing is one thing, but buying something from them is another story (more like a nightmare).
Completely off topic......I'm sure in the archieves there's dozens of threads about the Fred's "EXPERIENCE"
Save yourself a buttload of frustration and stay away from Freds. They've got some amazing stocks & stuff (but they usually have a hell of time finding it)...and if they can find it, getting it shipped without losing your order is the next challenge.
JMHO.....mine and most others who've done any business with them
