I have one dated 7-26. It has the original leather strap, has been fired but looks great, unmolested in any way.

I dug up that 14,680 were made and I'm looking for a value.
Pics when I can.
Thanks.

1936 is the first year for Garands.

Tag for pics.

Lots of gear had the nomenclature of M1. He never stated that it was a Garand.

My bad... I just thought he might be referring to a Garand since he posted this in the M1 forum.

Might get better responses in the C&R forum. Even though the 1922 was designated M1, most topics here refer to the Garand.

The Springfield M1 is not a Garand, it is a .22 cal. trainer made between the wars.
If it pleases the forum I will move this to C&R although in my defense this forum is not designated as Garand only.

I'd say it's no problem to keep it here... I would like to pictures and one day I am going to have one in my collection... when I find one
