What is the twist rate on a M1A?

Between 10" to 12" per revolution. Your question is not specific enough to answer. If your rifle has a GI barrel ("narrow/light weight"), it would be 12". A heavy match barrel could be 10", 11.25", or anything else.
Put a tight fitting patch on your cleaning rod and measure how far the rod travels to make one revolution.
