Ammo from wally world?
Going there tomorrow, any suggestions on what ammo to get for my M1A?

Winchester White box fmj .308.
If they have it you may also try Tula steel cased fmj .308 because it's cheaper & may run fine in your M1A for general plinking.

Walmart never had great 308 prices. You can do much better online or at your local big box sporting good retailer (aka cabelas) if they have a sale. (I've never seen walmart put ammo on sale unless the store was closing.)
I get the Federal Powershok 150 grain SP ammo. It is actually extremely accurate in my Standard.
