Unpossible

I like the looks of model 5820 it would be a good choice for those is CA who cant get an non neutered AR or those officers who dont want to jump through hoops to get an AR but want a rifle.

16 inch barrel and it can take the standard fair of factory magazines. Mount a good light and a sling it would be golden.

Yup for California it meets the requirements of the state law. The magazines would have to be 10 rounds for private citizens. Other than a magazine capacity difference it would be good to go private citizen or cop.

For an officer not wanting to jump hoops to get a AR with paperwork etc this would be the gun to get if you wanted 5.56mm.

16" barrel for getting it in and out of a squad car, plastic stock, stainless, will accept ruger factory mags in 5, 10, 20 round capacities. All you would need to do is add a light via a small rail section attached to the stock and a ring or barrel mount with tape switch (e.g. Surefire 660). Round it out with a buttstock mag pouch like Specter gears and a good two point sling. It would be a handy little gun capable of dealing with most situations an officer would encounter.

If one wanted to they could add one of the scout mounts out there and get a aimpoint H1 or somthing.
