Does anybody make a factory styled "Walnut" stock with a matching upper handguard??
I own both a series 180 (1976) and a 183 (GB) Mini-14 rifles with their original factory stocks, which are now showing their age now. I would like to replace them with walnut stocks that are finished as close to the real M-14 stock for that military look... Plus, it would be cool for it to match up with my M1A as well!!
Also, it would be nice to see if either a M-14 or the M-16 steel/plastic buttplate could be fitted with the stock being cut for a standard USGI 5.56mm cleaning kit too.
My series 180 has a wood upper handguard and the 183 has the standard vented plastic one and I feel that the wood uppers just look better on the Mini-14s.
Thanks for looking!!
I like the way you think. An M14 butt plate on it would be awesome as well.
Contact Boyd's, they might be interested in taking it on as a product if there is enough interest.
There was a rifle build over at Perfect Union that actually looked like a miniature M14.
