Green Mountain barrels

Looking at a rebarrel project very soon and I was going to go with PacNor or McGowen. A smith today recommended Green Mountain as another alternative. Anyone have experience with their rifle barrels?

Looked at their site. Looks like they make 10/22, Military and black powder barrels. I would pass for a precision rifle barrel. Stick with a solid precision rifle barrel maker with a solid track record. Many names out there like Bartlein, Kreiger, Obermyer, Rock, Pac Nor, Schneider, etc. Bartlein are my favorite. Got 5 now and all solid performers.

I have never had any luck with green mountain barrels, If you are looking a for a good barrel at a good price point check out Montana Rifleman. I have used there barrels for AR's and Bolt guns. They have all shot really well.

Broughton is another good manufacturer close in location to Bartlein. I have one on a 308 bolt and it is great. Also a Bartlein.
Rock, Krieger, Broughton, Obermeyer and Bartlein are all located in WI.
