How do you properly use the B&C "HOOK" Stock?

I got the B&C Style 3 with the "Hook"

When I shoulder it and use my weak side hand to support the rear of the rifle, it seems like like the hook is too far forward. On a stock without the hook, I normally put the weak side hand on my shoulder/bicep. With the hook, I feel like too far towards my elbow.

I think my technique is off. Do you guys have any tips to using this stock? Pictures would be great!

Thanks,

Steve

You could try putting a rear bag under the rear part of the stock. I would imagine that having a bag right under the hook would give you something to rest your hand on while you adjust elevation.

I don't use the hook. It just provides a void where my hand can operate the bag easier.

I place the web of my support hand into the hook. I use my fingers and thumb to manipulate the bag. On a stock without a hook I use the sling to the same effect as the face of the hook.

The "hand on the bicep" thing is not going to give you near the amount of control as actually gripping the stock with your support hand. When things start moving you need to be able to steer that thing and keep it planted in the shoulder pocket.

This isn't the greatest angle (and the audio sucks) but you can get an idea:
