I just finished my first one and was wondering if anyone buffed the receiver of did anything else before sending it out to be engraved and anodized? Thanks Mike

The whole reason behind a 80% receiver is to keep it Sterile since it does not need to be marked for personal build/use!!!!!
As for after milling, receiver gets bead blasted to clean up any milling markings prior to anodizing it.
Ok so the anodizer bead blasts it ? Im having my Coat of Arms engraved on it but i was just wondering if i needed to do anything before i sent it to get anodized.
Also would it be a problem if i wanted to have my buisness name engaved on it ? Thanks Mike

You'd have to ask them to bead blast if first, but it's a good idea to do so. You can engrave whatever you want on it. For some, the allure of 80% lowers is having a nice, untouched, sterile lower. For others, it's the fun of customizing it and making it yours.
