Why would anyone buy a Century Arms UC-9 when the Vector Arms is about $150 cheaper? For that $150 I picked up 10 new 32 round magazines. From what I've read on here, the Vector Arms is the superior to the CA in build quality and everything else that matters.

A Century UC-9 is about $700 with 5 mags included. Where did you find Vectors for $550?

I've never bought from these guys, but Midwest Gun Exchange in Indiana has the UC-9 with 5 mags on sale for $639.

Yeah the guy from Century Arms did say they were going for cheaper than list price ($999). Good thing I decided not to buy from the (that) manufacturer.

Your numbers are either upside down or out of date. I bought a Vector Arms Uzi in 3002 fro $500 direct from Vector, but they are over $800 these days.

Yep, I called Century arms this week. $999 for their Uzi carbine. Vector has them for $800 and change. Perhaps they are getting ready for 2012?

And you can buy them in .45 from Vector, they sell mini Uzis, they sell factory sbr Uzis, and they have a good reputation when it comes to their Uzi variants. The one I own is one of their older full-autos and it's built like a tank and runs like a champ. The few guns I had the misfortune of owning that were built by Century were just cheap, lots of corners cut, and that's why I got rid of them. After seeing their AK's I can't imagine buying anything from them unless they've seriously raised their QC standards and not just their prices.

You need to look around more, you can scoop Century Uzis for about $650 with a couple of mags included.

I would still recommend the Vector gun (I have one), but just saying that you most retailers are selling the Century Uzi for sub $700.
